ABOUT ROYAL GARDEN

Family-owned restaurant since 1999

Royal Garden is our father’s dream, and since 1999 our family has run the restaurant together with a deep love for Cantonese cuisine and pride in every dish that leaves our kitchen.

Our goal is to bring a taste of China to our guests. Our ambition has always been the same: to serve food so authentic that the flavors will feel familiar next time you find yourself at a restaurant in Hong Kong or Guangzhou.

CHINESE FOOD CULTURE

Chinese social dining in Copenhagen

At Royal Garden, dining works the way it does in southern China. Dishes are meant to be shared, passed around the table, tasted together, and enjoyed at a relaxed pace. This is the Cantonese tradition that has shaped Royal Garden since we first opened our doors. That said, if you’d rather order food for yourself, our à la carte menu has plenty of southern Chinese classics to choose from.

Dishes come out as soon as they’re ready in the kitchen. There’s no fixed sequence of appetizer, main course, and dessert like you might expect at a Western restaurant. Everything arrives hot and at its best, the way it’s always been done in the Cantonese restaurants of Guangdong and Hong Kong. If you have questions at any point, our staff is always happy to help.

We offer

QUALITY AND CLASSIC PRODUCERS

Wine, Beer, and Sake which are carefully selected

Great food starts long before it reaches the table. We work with a select group of suppliers who meet our standards across the board, from our wines and beers to our sake, everything is chosen with intention.

Our wines are selected in collaboration with Kjær og Sommerfeldt, one of Denmark’s most respected wine merchants, known for their focus on quality and classic producers. Every glass has been chosen with Cantonese cuisine in mind.

For beer and specialty drinks, we work with trusted partners including Royal Unibrew, so there’s always something for everyone at the table, from draft beer to non-alcoholic alternatives.

We have two private dining rooms and years of experience turning other people’s evenings into something worth remembering. Birthday dinner, corporate event, private celebration: whatever the occasion, we handle everything so you don’t have to.

We’ll build the menu around your preferences and can arrange a welcome drink, open bar, and everything else that goes into making an evening stand out. Both rooms are decorated in authentic Chinese style and seat between 8 and 40 guests.
